Gift Aid Information

What Gift Aid Is

Gift Aid allows charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you, if you are a UK taxpayer and make a valid declaration.

Who Can Use Gift Aid

  • You must be a UK taxpayer.
  • You must have paid enough UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the relevant tax year to cover the Gift Aid claimed on your donations.
  • The donation must be your own money and not from someone else or a collection.

What We Collect for Gift Aid

To support your declaration and our records, we collect your name and home address (including postcode) when Gift Aid is selected.

How We Use Gift Aid Information

We use your declaration details to attach Gift Aid to eligible donations, maintain charity accounting records, and support any claim we make to HMRC. We do not use Gift Aid declaration details for unrelated marketing.

Your Responsibility

  • Tell us if you are no longer eligible for Gift Aid.
  • Tell us if your name or address changes.
  • Keep your own tax records where needed.

Declaration Scope

On our giving form you can choose Gift Aid for a single donation, or for this and future donations, depending on the declaration option you select.
